When The Economic Times called us "Big out of the Box Idea" in December of 2007, we were less than 9 months old with less than 6 people working out of borrowed, shared or inherited workplaces. The fact that someone was watching us and could write about us was a great motivation. Startup environments are very different than regular corporate workplaces, here highly capable people work far more for far less in uncertain framework, deadlines and resource always point in opposite directions. Teams that pull it off have special skills, temperament and blessings, recognition then is the best fuel for these teams.
Year 2008 saw us getting nominated for TATA NEN Hottest startup award and our true recognition came from the fact that NEN asked us to run their HR initiative. Silicon India recognized us with the Best startup award in 2009 and plugHR was a finalist at Red Herring 100 Asia awards that's in 2010.
How would a team feel if from start their efforts have been recognized and awarded every year by media, industry, specialists and clients? Right, so that's why we stay motivated all the time. It's a self sustaining cycle, motivated teams hire motivated people, who keep doing great work, that industry likes and it keeps rewarding you with more recognition and clients which keeps your motivation going and soon, motivation, talented team, great work, more clients more teams goes on and on....... So you get the point. Life's been quite a rock n roll dream here at plugHR.
