The Team - The Chemistry
Manoj Shah hired us 4 years ago to set HR department for his health & fitness venture, little did he know that we'll return favour by hiring him as our COO after he had successfully exited the venture where he was co-founder & CEO, through a merger with the Gold's Gym. His strong background in strategy, business scaling and his appetite for building diverse businesses post turning into a Chartered Accountant was a perfect fitment with rest of us at plugHR. Moreover, he plays Tennis, likes hiking, driving, like technology and above all loves the chaos of change, just made for plugHR.

Hemant Nitsure was rescued from a mining location in hot and princely Indian state of Rajasthan where he was managing human resources for a large multinational business group. He had a tough time explaining at home why he wanted to join a one month old startup that didn't even have an office but he did that successfully and remains one of the most widely used resource in plugHR. He studied HR management at Nirma Institute of Management Ahmedabad only to experience product management with plugHR. He shocked the purists by eventually taking up the role of Finance Controller here with a logic that in a startup there is hardly much finance to make the work any harder.
Hemant lives in Mumbai and is also the captain of plugHR men's basketball team, his biggest complaint - there aren't enough men in plugHR to complete his team.

Karan Walia manages communications, brand, sometimes product. An alumnus of London School of Economics lives between Kolkata, Mumbai and New York. Rated as best student CEO at his business school, e-cell leader and an active member at various entrepreneurial platforms, Karan was spotted for plugHR by NEN - the Wadhwani Foundation initiative that promotes entrepreneurship in colleges across India.
Karan remains the most available resource around being fully a webspace resident, can give shape to any vague, abstract idea and he find enough of them at plugHR.

Prashant Bhaskar started the plugHR idea after market research suggested that it won't take off. "entrepreneurs want challenges, it couldn't be more challenging than that", he says. "After I spoke to senior HR professionals in industry who said HR was too close a subject to be outsourced, I decided to meet a few CEOs. This is where I got my springboard, all CEO that I met liked the idea without exception, few were ready to even sign up at very early stage, I decided to go by my gut", adds Prashant. Within eight months of launch, The Economic Times rated plugHR as a "Big out of the Box Idea".
Prashant, leads the management team of plugHR as CEO, lives in Mumbai. He did an honors program in Physics for graduation at Punjab University, Chandigarh, studied marketing at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune in western India and dwelled in Venture Capital Management & Finance at Indian School of Business at Hyderabad.

PlugHR Operations Team

Armed with high quality HR education from around the world, plugHR operations managers are more project managers than HR. Most carry solid generalist HR experience across industry sectors with companies like Hewitt, Vedanta, Reliance, Google, Infosys, Deloitte etc.

Highly flexible, continuously groomed and on their feet is how plugHR ops team can be described.

"At plugHR you have to be a good project manager to survive, gaps in HR knowledge can be easily overcome with support from product team, but if you can't run on ground, you get killed", says Darshna Panchal who manages an Emergency service company in Mumbai, Kerala, Patna and Rajasthan.

"Two different companies, all areas of HR, two ambitious CEOs, tech tools, plugHR operations head and Prashant's non stop ideation, I add to my capacity daily," confesses Yamini Ambarukhana while she manages two social enterprises in her portfolio.

"A unique feature of plugHR operations team is that most of us are not here for money, it's the work that attracted us from much more paying jobs that we let go to be here. Now when I see the deep connect, I realize why Prashant always insisted on keeping compensation expectations humble," says Bhoomi, a much younger plugHR manager.
Client Speaks
